Carbon dioxide tanks commissioned
03rd March 2021
Air Liquide have completed the commissioning of the Swindon plant’s carbon dioxide tanks. The tanks hold carbon dioxide that is used in the facility as a purge gas during the rest of the commissioning process.
More importantly, the tanks will store carbon dioxide produced by the plant from the biomass feedstocks. This will be sold to Air Liquide for use in industry, generating the negative greenhouse gas emissions that are necessary for the UK to meet its net zero target.
